Oh god I am so tired. A proper post will be up later when I can think and collect my thoughts of this massively epic weekend of JAM Project, internet meetups with very cool people, Nico Nico Douga kumikyoku karaoke, chatting with Mike Toole on the light rail back to the airport, Sub being his awesome self, our trainwreck of a Touhou panel, Daryl Surat asking Kageyama about MD Geist during the press interviews, omo’s incredible karaoke night, and too much more.
My dealer’s room haul was Wandaba Style box set, JAM Project t-shirt, JAM Project World Tour 2008 album (signed), and Acceleration of Suguri. I would have bought more, but artbooks are expensive and Hen Da Ne didn’t have more worthwhile doujin games (or I missed out on them).

I should have bought AoSuguru at Anime Boston…they had it for 20$, which is really cheaper than Paletweb, especially when you factor in shipping.
That Yuyuko is surprisingly attractive and well done, btw.

I tell myself that the artist of that Vegeta sketch was trying to do some sort of Hellsing parody. I don’t tell moot that though, because I didn’t actually see him at all this weekend. The Internet’s new mission is to find out who if anyone actually bought the naked photographs of the fat girl that were being sold in the 18+ auction.
I was already feeling kind of hesitant about asking the MD Geist question since a lot of the questions Mike ( http://r5central.wordpress.com ) and Tyler ( http://www.rangercast.net ) were asking were also directed just toward Kageyama, and it’s not like every single member of JAM Project isn’t interesting in their own right. Regrettably, I didn’t get to ask anything about Super Robot Taisen, so I guess I’ll look around to see if anyone “live blogged” the Q&A sessions.
The crazy thing about every single Otakon guest interview I showed up for was that nobody outside of myself and my roommates ever had more than one or two questions to ask. How do people not have a million things to ask these people the way everyone attending the Q&As do?
In addition to missing your Touhou panel, I also was unable to get a single thing autographed. Still, primary mission objectives complete: the Emperor will be pleased.

Oh man. You managed to get a picture of that awesome awesome Yuyuko. So well done.
I met another cosplay on Sunday who apparently had a Sakuya cosplay earlier, but was wearing a pretty good Akira Kogami.
If you throw a Touhou panel next year, maybe I should help out with it.

TBN: Heh heh. Maybe you can help out. We’re thinking of doing another panel next year with a different format. It’s almost a year from now, so I’ll see.
Daryl: Well, you didn’t really miss much from my Touhou panel, regrettably. We didn’t crash down into flames, though it wasn’t all that entertaining.
I think it’s absolutely pathetic that press aren’t all JAM Project fans. They’re a major part of what made anime what it is today. I may as well say that I’m a classic rock devotee and I’ve never listened to the The Rolling Stones. Though, it’s likely much of the press are in it as a job. Not as fans, unlike you and your entourage. Sad.

Because a lot of press people do it just because they’re press, not because they’re fans. As a result they don’t research the stuff from the fan perspective. It’s not to say press people aren’t fans, but they’re not fans of every guest. What’s really bad is that a lot of press people are also ignorant and apathetic about their lack of interest for the guests.

I asked two questions, one directed at Kage, the other for Endoh. I had other questions for the whole group, but people asked them before I did or asked them better than I would have.
