Who doesn’t want to torture love Suwako? Well, here’s the Reitaisai Suwako flash that we were promised and it delivers.
Bonus points for yet another Nice Boat reference.
This is a first. A Megami poster that isn’t borderline (or actual) porn. Even better. It’s my goddess Amu chara-changed with Eru. So incredibly cute with twintails~
I assume it’s more that Satelight wouldn’t let them publish smut of their signature children’s series and I’m happier because of it. If this were the typical Megami fapworthy poster that I can’t stand, I would be forced to bomb their offices. They couldn’t ever ruin my cute and innocent Amu!
I’ll take five thousand more pieces of Shugo Chara anime promo art, thank you very much.
This is an extremely serious open question to ZUN of the utmost importance. If you’re reading this, I want an answer!
For what possible reason does Reimu not only still look like a motherfucking zombie in Subterranean Animism, but also looks about 25 pounds, or 13~ kilograms for my numerous non-American Commie readers, heavier? Has she been going out for burgers with Marisa on a regular basis, or is there some darker, more sinister secret? I believe my main man ZUN has some explaining to do.
In addition, I’m sorry to say this Aya, but our relationship isn’t working right now. You need to get better at your spiritual channeling to Reimu or it’s over.
We got some underground youkai up in dis bitch in dat new Touhou shootin game demo shit. Yea dog.
We got dat resident armpit shrine ho, Reimu. She obvious be on dat rainbow shit dis time jus like last time. She got dis thinkin wit portals slut, Yukari. Now she not be a ho, she be a gangsta pimp. Dis pimp be send Reimu down under dat crazy ass shrine, that be what I think. So yea dog. She also be got choice of dat drunk ho Suika or dat true ho Aya. Aww shit dog.
Dat other thief ho Maria be in on this dis bitch. I not no why dog. She be in dat 1920s lookin clothin bullshit. She just be a pimpslappin dat Reimu bitch hardcore yo. She got her main ho Alice. Alice be do anything for her mistress Marisa with deeze crazy doll things and shit. It be righteous yo. Marisa got dat dangerous magic bitch Patchouli and some weird ass robot chick Nitori or whateva the fuck. Fo real.
Dis Subterraterrordactyl Anime game be fuckin pro like dat Moaning Fate shit. I not really like deeze new hos like dat horn bitch or da ponytail ho, but dat new music be tight with da guitars and shit. Dere be dat bucket lil girl bitch. What in dat fuck dat ZUN ho be thinkin? Fo sheezy dog.
Scarlet Weather Rhapsody. Hmm, how should I say this. It feels like a work-in-progress. The game’s fun, it feels somewhat tuned, and it has a decent cast of 15 characters. I think we’ll all be following SWR and it’ll mature over the next few months to year or so.
The weather system feels tacked-on and silly. It’s an okay concept, but Tasofro executed it incorrectly. Tournament play with the weather system, combined with variable spell cards, is going to be ridiculously dumb. I hope it gets fixed up.
Iku Nagae (one of the two new boss characters, a Kanako/Remilia ripoff) feels like a SF character and doesn’t fit in the game. I still think the cast is lacking some staples like Mokou, Flandre, Kanako, and a bunch of others. I was hoping for a 30-something size MvC-style cast.
The game could still use some balancing, though I haven’t really gotten a feel for all the characters yet. Reisen’s entertaining with her eye lasers of doom and the other new boss character, Tenshi Hinanai, seems like Tasofro put some good work into her. Too bad Iku is uninspired.
I really do like some of the new remixed music like Aya’s theme. Really nice stuff here.
I’ve been quite busy lately, so I haven’t gotten around to posting much of anything.
Kara no Kyokai was a minimalist mood piece. ufotable pumped out some impressive visuals here, but it’s regulated to the expression of the characters, not “flashy” action scenes as we’ve in prior Type-Moon adaptations. I think this works far better, since Type-Moon works are more about the detailed story and not shonen fighting happy time. And hey, this is the first TM anime I can say truly exists!
Maaya Sakamoto’s performance in Kara no Kyokai is nothing short of brilliant with a gender ambiguous role that’s like a deeper Haruhi Fujioka. I’d watch the next six episodes for her alone. Thankfully, I don’t need to with ufotable’s fine job here.
When Mahou Tsukai no Yoru is eventually animation adapted, ufotable should be first on the list.
Holy shit what. A new Capcom fighter with Tatsunoko characters. It’s going to be 3D on a 2D plane.
Really, what? What’s next? SNK vs Nippon Ichi?
So far, two Capcom staples (Ken and Chun-Li), Casshern, and Ken Washio from Gatchaman are confirmed. I’m betting on Soul Taker, Tekkaman/Tekkaman Blade, Speed Racer, Samurai Pizza Cats, and maybe even a surprise Yatterman. This is going to be fucking incredible. Maybe the best fighter ever, in terms of pure awesomeness, assuming the right Capcom studio gets it.
If I can’t play as Komugi, I’ll be very disappointed.
Kure-nai’s dialogue is so cleverly charming that it should be against the law in most states. It’s one of the series that could consistently make dorky lines like that work.
This was a standard episode for getting back on track into the (almost irrelevant, yet entertaining) plot, though everyone knows that with this series, it’s anything but typical. Scenes such as the above drawing Kure-nai’s carefully woven background subtext is one of the many reason why this show is gradually becoming a favorite. I can’t believe I’d be fall in love with an anime series this soon after Manabi Straight, less than halfway through no less.
Yes, I’ve realized that this has become a Kure-nai/Touhou blog weeks ago. Sue me.
It seems that Kure-nai has been confirmed to be only 12 episodes everywhere. Ah well. I was hoping for a full-length series with how much this series been consistently hooking me in, line and sinker. I don’t see much of a reason for a shorter run, unless more of a story starts up soon. As long as it’s not an inconclusive lazy ending.
Hopefully, Brains Base has an OVA episode or three in the works, as they did with Kamichu and Baccano If so, I’m okay with the somewhat abridged run. Maybe this means that we’ll see another gem, out of this promising studio, in the not-so-far future?
I don’t want my Murasaki and Ginko to leave me so soon!
